About Jane Abercrombie
A little about me...
Jane Abercrombie Interiors is a full-service interior design firm with an emphasis on residential interiors. She approaches each project with fresh ideas with an innate sense of style, scale, and spatial needs.
Jane values the working collaboration between the client and designer and is dedicated to creating beautiful spaces tailored to her client’s needs. Staying true to her southern style, Jane brings a fresh approach to traditional design.
Jane credits her foundation and love of interior design to her mother, Becki Abercrombie, a designer in Baton Rouge. She grew up helping her work surrounded by fabrics, architectural plans, and project boards, and thus it was a natural progression to follow in her mother’s footsteps.
A few years after graduating from Vanderbilt University, Jane moved to New York in 1999 and began her design career working for Stephanie Odegard in sales and marketing. She then attended Parsons School of Design. Upon graduation in 2003, Jane refined her skills as an interior designer with New York firms Prentice Interiors, Victoria Hagan Interiors, and Ralph Havard Incorporated. Jane established her own firm, Jane Abercrombie Interiors, in 2011. Recent projects include a country house in Greenwich, CT; a beach house in East Hampton, NY; an apartment in Manhattan; and several Nashville, TN.
Jane and her husband, Jean-Paul Runge, live in Nashville with their sons, Arthur and Oliver.
